Updates & Changelog
v2.0 — Maple Maker
LAUNCH
September 2026
- One workspace: Maple Maker
- The Studio pages are retired into a single app at /maker — Characters, Scenes, Maps, Mobs, NPCs, Pets, Skills, Interface, Chat Bubble, Misc and Sounds, with a Home screen of your recent projects
- Pick an era once in the top bar — Classic World, Pre-Big-Bang (v83) or Modern GMS — and every tab follows it
- Everything renders from real game data through DataFactory; the old image API is gone, so what you see is what the game draws
- A 🐞 button in the status bar sends a bug report with the context we need to fix it
- Scenes (new)
- Compose characters, props and backgrounds on a stage — layers with show/hide/solo, explode view, blend modes and per-layer color adjustments
- Export as PNG, animated GIF, or a layered ZIP with
layout.json; tick + After Effects to get an importer script that rebuilds the scene as a comp, one layer per PNG - Maps (new)
- Render any game map in all three eras, with parallax backgrounds, animated objects, live NPC patrols and mob behaviour, reactors and BGM
- Layers panel with per-row eye/solo controls, drag-paint, canvas ⇄ panel selection, undo/redo and per-layer Color & Effects
- Advanced Export: layered PNGs (with an optional PSD) or exploded assets plus an After Effects project — parallax camera rig, looping animations, portals and name tags included
- Modern maps load in seconds instead of a minute (Henesys: 60 s → 7 s) thanks to pre-baked catalogs
- Interface (new)
- Item and skill tooltips, NPC dialog, the quest browser, status bar, inventory, equip window, world map and name tags — rendered from the game's own UI art
- Type directly on the window, drop in your character, then export a PNG or the tooltip as layers
- Skills, Mobs, NPCs, Pets, Misc, Sounds
- Skills play on their real per-frame timing with a skill-level selector; SIM mode stages the full attack with a real body action and target reach
- Mobs get a free-roam SIM loop; NPCs get an emote loop; pose pickers everywhere
- New Misc tab for effects, emotes, morphs, mounts and chairs — every animation state, not just the first
- New Sounds tab: every sound bank in every era, preview and download
- One export experience
- Every animated tab shares the same Advanced Export dock: sprite sheet or clean-loop SIM, tight or bounding-box frames, 1–5× scale, a GIF per animation, After Effects
motion.json, and the sound effects that go with it - Progress and a Cancel button on every ZIP build; right-click any preview to copy or save, plus Ctrl+C / Ctrl+S / ⌘E on every tab
- Library & sharing
- Characters, maps and scenes live in one library with folders, search and era/source filters
- Public, unlisted or private per creation, with share links that respect it; profiles with a primary character
- Import from maples.im JSON or a BannedStory
.bsproj, custom pieces included - Supporters
- The supporter wall is now a live scene — every supporter's character walks the stage
